Launch of “Additional Interface License” for “OCX-Router(v1)” on “OCX”

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) announces the launch of the “Additional Interface License,” a new feature that expands the interface capacity of the OCX-Router(v1) within “OCX (Open Connectivity eXchange),” a platform jointly developed with BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”). The new feature will be available on August 13, 2026.
Previously, the OCX-Router(v1) supported a maximum of eight interfaces per instance. Consequently, when the required number of interfaces for Virtual Circuit Interfaces (VCIs), Cloud Connections, and data center connectivity exceeded this limit, customers were required to deploy an additional OCX-Router(v1). This requirement introduced significant challenges, including heightened network complexity and an increased operational burden for routing management.
The new “Additional Interface License” addresses this by allowing users to expand the interface limit of a single OCX-Router(v1) instance by one interface per license, increasing the maximum capacity from the standard eight up to 16 interfaces. By leveraging this service, customers can add connection sites without the need to create additional routing instances. This enables customers to keep their network configurations simple while also helping to reduce operational overhead. Furthermore, this flexible licensing model allows customers to scale strictly according to their needs, effectively minimizing management costs.
