BBIX Add New AWS Connectivity Site in the Osaka Area for “OCX (Open Connectivity eXchange)”

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will add a new AWS connection site for OCX “Cloud Connection” service in the Osaka area on July 28, 2026.

“Cloud Connection” serves as a virtual interface for connecting to public clouds via OCX. This expansion marks BBIX’s second AWS connection site in the Osaka area, joining the existing Equinix OS1 site. In the event of an outage at one connection site, services can continue through the other connection site, providing enhanced availability and stability. As a result, OCX users benefit from greater flexibility to select the ideal cloud connection point from an expanded network of locations.

BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure to help customers accelerate DX and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
