BBIX and Getworks to Launch New Open Connectivity eXchange Connection Point at “Kagoshima Izumi Data Center”

Expanding Connectivity for Distributed Data Centers as the Company’s Third Domestic Hub, Following Yuzawa’s Two Sites

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (“IX”) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with Getworks co.,ltd. (“Getworks”) to provide Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX will add an OCX connection site at Getworks’ “Kagoshima Izumi Data Center” (Izumi, Kagoshima Prefecture) on August 1, 2026.

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to cloud services and data centers used by customers.

Driven by its vision to “deliver essential infrastructure where it is needed most,” Getworks is an infrastructure company whose core businesses include the design and construction of containerized data centers and the provision of AI and liquid-cooled GPU infrastructure. Through fully in-house design and domestic production, the company delivers short lead times and reduced costs. It also develops shelter-type containers specifically designed for large-scale disasters and emergency response, while operating businesses centered on community-rooted containerized data centers.

In September 2025, Getworks established OCX connection sites at the Yuzawa GX Data Center and Yuzawa 01 Data Center in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture. The launch of this new site at the Kagoshima Izumi Data Center will further expand Getworks’ collaboration with BBIX and BBSakura, accelerating their strategic sales alignment and advancing joint sales and marketing initiatives.

BBIX, BBSakura, and Getworks will leverage their respective strengths to enhance availability in distributed data center utilization by rapidly delivering private connectivity to data centers and cloud services nationwide. The three companies will remain committed to working together to support digital transformation (DX) and reinforce business continuity planning (BCP) for local authorities and enterprises throughout Japan.
