BBIX Launches New IX Points “BBIX Tokyo No. 15” and “BBIX Osaka No. 8” at MC Digital Realty Data Centers

Expanding IX Service Connection Points in Tokyo and Osaka areas


BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, will open “BBIX Tokyo No. 15” at “NRT Campus” and “BBIX Osaka No. 8” at “KIX Campus” operated by MC Digital Realty Inc. (“MC Digital Realty”) to provide IX Connect Service (“IX Service”) from October 2025.


MC Digital Realty’s data centers serve as crucial “network hubs” in both the Tokyo Metropolitan and Kansai regions, attracting a high concentration of diverse businesses. By utilizing the IX Service at the newly established “BBIX Tokyo No. 15” and “BBIX Osaka No. 8,” BBIX will facilitate smooth and stable traffic exchange among IX Service users already connected in the Tokyo and Osaka areas.


The importance of interconnection continues to grow, driven by the increasing adoption of cloud services, faster access lines, and the expansion of proprietary network operations by various businesses. BBIX will continue to provide IX Service that ensures efficient Internet connectivity and high-quality communication, thereby helping customers improve connection quality and reduce costs.
