BBIX Partners with HBA to Provide OCX Cloud-based Network Service

BBIX to add OCX connection point at HBA’s secure and reliable data center

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (“IX”) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with HBA Corporation (“HBA”) to provide Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX will add an OCX connection point at HBA’s data center “HBA-iDC” (located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo City) where IT solutions will be offered utilizing OCX.

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to government cloud services and public clouds used by customers. Because OCX is available via port connection, this shortens the preparation required for line installation.

HBA, since its founding in 1964, has provided a wide range of one-stop services supporting corporate IT strategies including system integration, cloud services, software development, and outsourcing services contributing to customers’ business growth over the years.

“HBA-iDC” features a seismically isolated and fire-resistant building, 24/7 monitoring, and biometric authentication systems.
