BBIX and BBSakura to Support “Alibaba Cloud” with Open Connectivity eXchange
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will add “Alibaba Cloud,” the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, as a new connection for “Cloud Connection” to the lineup of Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on August 28, 2025.
“Alibaba Cloud” is a public cloud service with advanced technology and an extensive network of data centers in Asia. “Alibaba Cloud” is used by many companies and organizations around the world for its wide range of cloud solutions and extensive operational and technical support services.
“Cloud Connection” is a virtual interface for establishing connections to cloud services via OCX. “Cloud Connection” provides a highly secure, low latency, and on-demand connection to cloud services, including Alibaba Cloud.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure to help customers accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
