BBIX and BBSakura to Support “Zscaler^TM” with Open Connectivity eXchange

Companies enable the use of “Zscaler^TM” with greater security and higher quality

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, added “Zscaler^TM,” provided by Zscaler,Inc., as a new destination connection for “SaaS Connection” of Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on July 16, 2025. In conjunction with the first connection with security services, BBIX and BBSakura renamed “SaaS Connection” to “XaaS Connection” to provide not only SaaS but also new categories of services such as SASE (Secure Access Service Edge).

“Zscaler^TM” is a cloud-based security service that provides a comprehensive, integrated platform enabling zero-trust security and network transformation for all users, workloads, IoT (Internet of Things) / OT (Operational Technology) and BtoB partners. It enables local governments and enterprises to enhance security, reduce costs, and improve the user experience.

“XaaS Connection” provides a connection from the closed OCX network to XaaS (X as a Service) applications without going through the Internet. “XaaS Connection” thereby enables customers to use “Zscaler^TM” in a secure and high-quality communication environment.

BBIX and BBSakura will continue to expand their services to support customers, accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
