BBIX Launches New IX Point “BBIX Rotterdam” at “Smartdc Rotterdam” Data Center

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that conducts an Internet Exchange (IX) business, will launch a new IX point, “BBIX Rotterdam” at “Smartdc Rotterdam” data center operated by Smartdc in the Netherlands, and provide its “IX Service” starting from April 3, 2024.

In Europe, BBIX has 3 existing IX points: “BBIX Amsterdam,” “BBIX London,” and “BBIX Marseille.” Of these locations, the Netherlands is located at the center of Europe, and plays an important role as a communication hub. By launching “BBIX Rotterdam” at the Netherlands’ second largest city, Rotterdam, customers will be able to exchange traffic with “IX Service” users at BBIX’s European and non-European IX points.

Through the provision of a low-latency and high-quality “IX Service,” BBIX will aim to provide a comfortable connectivity environment for customers in Europe and around the world, and realize ideal Internet traffic exchange interconnection.
