The “Traffic Report” feature in “Open Connectivity eXchange” now supports traffic display for the virtual router “OCX-Router (v1)”

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) has implemented a new feature expansion for the “Traffic Report” and “Traffic Report Plus” (collectively “Traffic Report”) management functions provided on the “OCX Portal” (customer-dedicated management screen) of “Open Connectivity eXchange” (‘OCX’), jointly developed with BBSakura Networks Co., Ltd. This expansion enables users to view traffic volumes for the virtual router “OCX-Router (v1),” and the service is available starting today.

“Traffic Report” is a feature that allows customers to view traffic volumes for each resource* they use on the “OCX Portal.”

*This is the VNF (Virtual Network Function) used to enable communication on the “OCX Portal.”

Previously, only traffic volumes for “Physical Port” and “Virtual Circuit Interface (VCI)” were available for viewing, but now, “OCX-Router (v1)” has now been added.

As a result, customers currently using private network connection services such as SmartVPN Connection or OCX Hikari Private, or accessing services via OCX Mobile Access without using physical ports at their own locations, will be able to view traffic flowing between the OCX-Router (v1) and various resources, and check network usage and any anomalies on the OCX Portal.

In addition, since users can centrally view OCX-Router (v1) traffic on the OCX Portal without relying on monitoring functions provided by connected service providers such as XaaS providers, this helps reduce operational overhead in multi-cloud environments.

This feature is available in both “Traffic Report” and “Traffic Report Plus”—which supports long-term data retention and CSV export—without any sign-up process or additional fees.

BBIX will continue to strive to provide more convenient services to help customers accelerate their digital transformation and drive business growth in the multi-cloud era.
