BBIX Introduces the Japan Standard Provisioning Method on its “OCX Hikari Internet”

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) is pleased to announce the introduction of HTTP-Based IPv4 over IPv6 Provisioning Protocol (HB46PP, “the Japan Standard Provisioning Method”) on its “OCX Hikari Internet,” an Internet access service for enterprise customers on April 10, 2024.

The Japan Standard Provisioning Method is a standardized method for configuring routers that connect to the IPv4 Internet via an IPv6 network (“IPv4 over IPv6”).

Until now, in order to automatically reflect IPv4 over IPv6 setting information on the router with “OCX Hikari Internet”, a home gateway provided by Japan Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT Japan East) and Japan Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT Japan West) was required.

By introducing the Japan Standard Provisioning Method on “OCX Hikari Internet”, IPv4 over IPv6 configuration work can be simplified to any routers that supports the Japan Standard Provisioning Method.

BBIX will continue to develop to meet the various needs of its customers.
