BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) is pleased to announce that BBIX Philippines Inc. (“BBIX PH”), a joint venture between BBIX and InfiniVAN, Inc., and VITRO Inc. (“VITRO”) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic alliance to implement Internet Exchange (IX) collaboration. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and support the Philippines’ rapidly evolving digital landscape. By combining their infrastructure and connectivity strengths, both organizations aim to bring content closer to over 98 million Internet users in the Philippines.

Testing and Monitoring Live Internet Traffic for Enhanced Performance

Under the MoU, BBIX PH and VITRO Internet Exchange (VIX) are now testing and monitoring live Internet traffic. This setup allows both parties to evaluate performance, stability, and operational capability. This high-capacity connection will enable the seamless exchange of data, routing information, and signaling, forming a strong foundation for fast and low-latency connectivity. The partnership focuses on strengthening network interconnection and improving overall Internet performance, enabling faster and more reliable access for users nationwide.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering better services and building a stronger, more connected digital ecosystem for the Philippines.

Miguel Gonzalez, Head of Product Management of VITRO, underscored that the exchange will enhance content accessibility for users while ensuring faster and more seamless connectivity. “By strengthening how traffic is exchanged between networks, we are improving access to content, enhancing performance, and enabling businesses and communities to better participate in the digital economy,” Gonzalez added.
