“OCX Mobile Access” for Open Connectivity eXchange Now Supports Multiple Carriers

Service enables flexible carrier selection and line redundancy tailored to specific applications and operating environments

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”) announced that “OCX Mobile Access” for Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service jointly developed with BBSakura Networks, Inc., now supports multiple carriers as of May 26, 2026. This allows users to flexibly switch between networks from multiple carriers, including KDDI Corporation* in addition to SoftBank’s existing networks, using a single SIM card.

Mobile communications in the corporate sector have become critical infrastructure supporting business operations, driven by the expansion of access to business systems and the growing adoption of IoT. Furthermore, as usage environments diversify, there is growing demand for network environments that allow for the flexible selection of mobile carriers—particularly from the perspectives of ensuring coverage and quality of service, as well as business continuity planning (BCP).

In response to this growing demand, “OCX Mobile Access” has expanded available network coverage and introduced multi-carrier support, enabling the use of networks from multiple telecommunications carriers. This allows users to select from multiple domestic carriers using a single SIM card, enabling them to build optimal communication environments tailored to their usage conditions and purposes. Additionally, the service supports business continuity planning (BCP) through a redundant configuration, contributing to the realization of a communication environment that balances stability and flexibility.

BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build network cloud infrastructure that strengthen DX (digital transformation) and contribute to the realization of the communication environment required in the multi-cloud era.
