BBIX and BBSakura Launch “OPTAGE Connection” on Open Connectivity eXchange
Launch strengthens access to OCX in the Kansai Region
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch “OPTAGE Connection” within the cloud-based network service “Open Connectivity eXchange” (“OCX”) on March 6, 2026.
“OPTAGE Connection” is a function that interconnects OCX with OPTAGE Inc.’s (“OPTAGE”) high-quality access lines, “Ethernet VPN” and “IP-VPN.”
With the launch of “OPTAGE Connection,” customers based in the Kansai region can now access low-bandwidth services at more affordable rates while also reducing deployment lead times. In addition, combining it with other access line services enables easy implementation of multi-carrier redundant configurations. Furthermore, customers using “Ethernet VPN” or “IP-VPN” can achieve diverse network configurations utilizing OCX while maintaining their existing VPN environment.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to expand their high-quality network infrastructure by flexibly responding to diversifying network needs.
