BBIX Partners with YEC to Provide OCX Cloud-based Network Service

BBIX to add OCX connection point at data center operated by YEC

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (“IX”) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with YEC Solutions Inc.　(“YEC”) to provide Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX will add an OCX connection point at “YEC Data Center” (Kanagawa Prefecture) on March 5, 2026.

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to a variety of cloud services and data centers used by customers.

YEC is an ICT solutions company that has long supported the digital transformation of local governments and private enterprises as part of the NEC Group. YEC provides a one-stop service encompassing system consulting, business application development, cloud services, infrastructure operation utilizing data centers, and outsourcing, driving the advancement of locally rooted information infrastructure.

Through this collaboration, BBIX and BBSakura’s secure, high-quality OCX will be combined with YEC’s ICT operational capabilities, extensive domain expertise cultivated in the public sector, and robust cloud and network services leveraging its own data centers. This will enable the three companies to provide regional customers with a safer and more reliable communication environment. By integrating with IX and Internet connectivity services delivered using OCX, BBIX and YEC will build a flexible and highly scalable network infrastructure, strongly supporting the digital transformation of public institutions and businesses.

By combining YEC’s long-established, community-focused ICT support capabilities with BBIX’s cutting-edge network solutions, BBIX and YEC can deliver higher security standards, greater reliability, and faster service provision.
