BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, added the “Cato SASE Cloud Platform,” provided by Cato Networks, as a new destination connection for “XaaS Connection” of “Open Connectivity eXchange” (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service on November 27, 2025.
The “Cato SASE Cloud Platform” is an industry-leading SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) platform, converging SD-WAN, a global private backbone, and a comprehensive cloud-native security stack into a unified, globally available cloud service. By converging these capabilities into a single cloud service, Cato securely connects all enterprise locations, users, applications, and clouds.
Through “XaaS Connection,” customers gain secure, direct connectivity from the OCX network to cloud applications without traversing the public Internet. In addition, this collaboration with Cato Networks delivers consistent, enterprise-grade security, compliance, and optimized communication performance within the high-quality, secure network environment provided by OCX.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to expand their services to support customers, accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
