BBIX Philippines Launches New IX Points in Cebu, CDO, and Davao in the Philippines

BBIX Philippines Inc. (“BBIX Philippines”), a joint venture between BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and InfiniVAN, Inc. (“InfiniVAN”) will open new IX (Internet Exchange) points in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro (“CDO”), and Davao in the Philippines, and will provide IX services from December 20, 2024.

In the regional cities of the Philippines, ensuring the reliability of Internet connection is often a challenge. With the establishment of three new IX points in the regional cities of Cebu, CDO, and Davao, local Internet service providers will now have easier access to BBIX Philippines’ carrier-neutral, low-cost, and low-latency IX services. BBIX and BBIX Philippines are confident that this will further contribute to the ongoing DX (Digital Transformation) of the Philippines.

BBIX and BBIX Philippines will continue to aim to provide high-quality and reliable IX services to customers in the Philippines and around the world.
