BBIX Launches “eSIM” for “OCX Mobile Access” on Open Connectivity eXchange

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) is pleased to announce that “OCX Mobile Access” for Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), jointly developed with BBSakura Networks, Inc., will support eSIMs in addition to existing SIM Cards.

An eSIM (embedded Subscriber Identity Module) is a type of SIM embedded in a device that allows subscription information (profile) to be downloaded directly to a built-in IC chip via a network. By issuing an eSIM through the OCX Portal and downloading the profile to an eSIM-compatible device, customers can instantly activate mobile connectivity on demand.

Leveraging eSIMs enables more flexible mobile connectivity, particularly for business scenarios requiring rapid deployment or temporary network access.
