BBIX Partners with TOHKnet to Provide \u201cOCX (Open Connectivity eXchange)\u201d Cloud-based Network Service<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX to add OCX Connection Site at \u201cSendai Chuo Data Center\u201d<\/p>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with TOHKnet Co., Inc. (\u201cTOHKnet\u201d) to provide \u201cOCX (Open Connectivity eXchange),\u201d a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX opened an OCX connection site at TOHKnet\u2019s \u201cSendai Chuo Data Center (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture)\u201d on July 1, 2026.<\/p>\r\n

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to cloud services and data centers used by customers.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

TOHKnet, an affiliate of the Tohoku Electric Power Group, is a premier telecommunications provider delivering enterprise-grade connectivity solutions across the six prefectures of the Tohoku region and Niigata Prefecture. Furthermore, as the initial phase of its OCX utilization, TOHKnet plans to launch \u201cOCF (OCX Compute Fabric)\u201d virtual server services. OCF is a regionally distributed cloud service provided by BBIX and IDC Frontier Inc. By introducing this OCF-driven, regionally distributed cloud infrastructure, TOHKnet aims to deliver highly secure, premium cloud connectivity environments alongside robust IT solutions.<\/p>\r\n
