BBIX Launches New IX Point \u201cBBIX Tokyo No. 16\u201d at SoftBank Corp.\u2019s Tokyo Fuchu Data Center<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. (\u201cSoftBank\u201d) that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, will open \u201cBBIX Tokyo No. 16\u201d at SoftBank\u2019s Tokyo Fuchu Data Center to provide IX Connect Service (\u201cIX Service\u201d) from July 8, 2026.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

In recent years, Internet traffic has continued to grow, driven by the widespread adoption of generative AI (artificial intelligence), the increasing use of cloud-based services, and the advancement of digital transformation (DX). Demand is also rising among businesses that require high-capacity, low-latency network connectivity, including SaaS providers and security and cloud infrastructure operators.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

SoftBank\u2019s Tokyo Fuchu Data Center is designed to support large-scale power capacity and high-density racks, as well as hyperscale environments and AI\/high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. The facility is expected to attract a wide range of businesses that require high-volume network traffic, including SaaS providers and security and cloud infrastructure operators.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

To address this growing demand, BBIX will establish \u201cBBIX Tokyo No. 16\u201d within the data center and commence the provision of its Internet Exchange (IX) services.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

By utilizing \u201cBBIX Tokyo No. 16\u201d in combination with existing BBIX connection points, customers will be able to enhance network redundancy and strengthen their business continuity planning (BCP) initiatives.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

BBIX will continue to expand its connectivity footprint and contribute to the development of Japan\u2019s Internet infrastructure, while supporting customers\u2019 business growth and DX initiatives.<\/p>\r\n
