BBIX Launches New IX Point \u201cBBIX Osaka No. 9\u201d at SoftBank Corp.\u2019s Nara Ikoma Data Center<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. (\u201cSoftBank\u201d) that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, will open \u201cBBIX Osaka No. 9\u201d at SoftBank\u2019s Nara Ikoma Data Center to provide IX Connect Service (\u201cIX Service\u201d) from December 22, 2025.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

In recent years, the growing use of AI, cloud services, video streaming and online gaming has led to a steady rise in Internet traffic across western Japan. In the Kansai region, which serves as one of the country\u2019s key data hubs, and this traffic is expected to continue increasing in the years ahead.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

In response to these trends, BBIX will expand its network presence in the Ikoma area\u2014one of the Kansai region\u2019s key data center clusters\u2014alongside the Saito area, where \u201cBBIX Osaka No. 8\u201d opened in October 2025. At \u201dBBIX Osaka No. 9,\u201d BBIX will not only provide IX services, but also offer optimal connectivity within the Kansai region by utilizing SoftBank\u2019s dedicated line services, enabling the facility to serve as a distributed hub.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

By providing IX services at \u201cBBIX Osaka No. 9,\u201d BBIX aims to strongly support its customers\u2019 DR (Disaster Recovery) and BCP (Business Continuity Planning) efforts, while also delivering efficient network connectivity. Through these initiatives, BBIX remains committed to enhancing connection quality, reducing communication costs and contributing to a more robust network environment for its customers.<\/p>\r\n
