BBIX to Launch RPX at “BBIX Singapore No.3”

BBIX Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“BBIX Singapore”), a subsidiary of BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), today announced the launch of connectivity for its Roaming Peering eXchange (“RPX”) at its third Singapore point of presence (PoP), “BBIX Singapore No.3,” located within Global Switch Tai Seng data center.

Previously, BBIX Singapore offered RPX services only from its “BBIX Singapore No.1” PoP within Equinix SG1. To address the growing demand for telecommunications infrastructure redundancy and reliability, the company has expanded its RPX presence to Global Switch Singapore Tai Seng, a carrier-neutral data center known for its concentration of Asia-Pacific carriers. This new connection point offers existing customers a domestic disaster recovery site for RPX connectivity and enables BBIX Singapore to expand service offerings to MNOs across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Singapore: A Strategic Hub for Asia’s Data Roaming

RPX provides Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) with a direct and efficient way to exchange traffic, leveraging BBIX’s Layer 2 network platform to bypass traditional IP Exchanges (IPXs). The result is high quality, low latency data roaming.

By providing a second connection point in Singapore, a major interconnection hub for Asia-Pacific carriers, BBIX and BBIX Singapore offer in-country redundancy and a highly reliable data roaming environment.
For more details about RPX, please refer to the following URL.
