BBIX and Naganoken Kyodo Densan Sign Business Partnership for Open Connectivity eXchange<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX to expand OCX connection point to data center operated by Naganoken Kyodo Densan<\/p>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (\u201cIX\u201d) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with Naganoken Kyodo Densan Co.,Ltd. (\u201cNaganoken Kyodo Densan\u201d) to provide Open Connectivity eXchange (\u201cOCX\u201d), a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX opened an OCX connection point in the data center operated by Naganoken Kyodo Densan (Nagano City) on July 1, 2024.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX offers on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to a variety of cloud services and data centers used by customers.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

As a comprehensive information center for JA (Japan Agricultural Co-operative) NAGANO Group, which aims to develop a prosperous community based on the promotion of agriculture, Naganoken Kyodo Densan is engaged in the development of a large-scale integrated network to support JA’s operations. Naganoken Kyodo Densan also provides \u201cJANIS,\u201d an Internet access service for general customers living in Nagano Prefecture. Naganoken Kyodo Densan has supported the development of local communities by providing \u201cJANIS\u201d for general customers and network infrastructure that connects JA stores, federations, and other related institutions in Nagano Prefecture via fiber optic lines with excellent communication quality. Furthermore, construction of a new data center is scheduled to be completed in March 2024, with services planned to begin in January 2025.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

By combining BBIX and BBSakura’s secure, high-quality OCX with network solutions that utilize the latest technology from Naganoken Kyodo Densan, BBIX and Naganoken Kyodo Densan will contribute to the informatization of local communities and the revitalization of local economies by improving the quality of the telecommunications infrastructure in Nagano and other regions.<\/p>\r\n
