BBIX and NCT Sign Business Partnership with Open Connectivity eXchange<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX to expand OCX connection point to \u201cNCT Nagaoka Data Center\u201d<\/p>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (\u201cIX\u201d) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with NCT CO.,LTD. (\u201cNCT\u201d), a CCJ Co.,Ltd. Group company, to provide Open Connectivity eXchange (\u201cOCX\u201d), a cloud-based network service. With this partnership agreement, BBIX will add an OCX connection point at NCT\u2019s \u201cNCT Nagaoka Data Center\u201d on March 1, 2024.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX offers on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to a variety of cloud services and data centers used by customers.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

NCT is a cable television operator in the central Chuetsu region of Niigata Prefecture, centered on Nagaoka City. In 2017, NCT introduced the first 10 Gbps optical fiber line service for consumers in Niigata Prefecture, and provides “NCT Hikari,” a triple-play service that packages Internet, cable TV, and landline communications in nine cities and two towns (Nagaoka City, Sanjo City, Mitsuke City, Ojiya City, Kashiwazaki City, Tsubame City, Kamo City, Tagami Town, Uonuma City, Minami Uonuma City and Izumozaki Town). With the opening of this OCX connection point, NCT will expand its services to municipalities and enterprises, and contribute to local communities as a community-based ISP provider.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

BBIX, together with NCT, will work toward the promotion of local digitalization and the creation of new businesses that are loved by the community and can be disseminated nationwide, and contribute to the realization of an affluent society through the power of IT (Information Technology).<\/p>\r\n
