(\u201cBBIX\u201d) will support new optical transceiver, \u201c100G-LR1\u201d on its \u201cIX Connect Service\u201d and start providing from January 2024.<\/p>\r\n<br>\r\n<p>Until now, the \u201c100G-LR4\u201d has been the dominant 100G Ethernet interface for IX services, which uses four lasers to transmit a 25 Gbps signal. The newly introduced \u201c100G-LR1\u201d transmits a 100 Gbps signal with a single laser.
