BBIX and BBSakura launch “OCX Hikari Internet 1G” with a maximum transmission speed of 1 Gbps<\/h4>\r\n

BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch a new service menu with a maximum transmission speed of 1Gbps*1<\/sup> for \u201cOCX Hikari Internet*2<\/sup>,\u201d the Internet access service for enterprise customers on April 12th, 2023. With this new service menu, BBIX and BBSakura will offer two services: the conventional “OCX Hikari Internet 10G,” with a maximum transmission speed of 10 Gbps*1<\/sup>, and the accessible “OCX Hikari Internet 1G,” with a maximum transmission speed of 1 Gbps*1<\/sup>.<\/p>\r\n

The actual throughput varies greatly depending on the performance of computers, other devices, network equipment, other usage environments, and network congestion.\r\n*2 \u201cOCX Hikari Internet\u201d is an Internet access service provided using the Hikari Collaboration scheme provided by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (\u201cNTT East\u201d) and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (\u201cNTT West\u201d).\r\n<\/small>\r\n

1. Wide coverage in Japan<\/h4>\r\n

\u201cOCX Hikari Internet 1G\u201d allows customers to use the service in a wider area in Japan, and at a more reasonable price compared with \u201cOCX Hikari Internet 10G.\u201d BBIX will provide \u201cOCX Hikari Internet 10G\u201d to customers who require high-capacity communications in CBDs (Central Business Districts), while \u201cOCX Hikari Internet 1G\u201d will be provided to customers who require ease-of-use, depending on their purposes. <\/p>\r\n

2. Stress-free use of SaaS<\/h4>\r\n

\u201cOCX Hikari Internet” is directly connected to the networks of SaaS providers to avoid the risk of communication quality degradation that can be caused when the traffic goes through the networks of multiple ISPs (Internet Service Providers). This network connectivity reduces the risk of communication quality degradation and deduces issues such as picture quality degradations and audio interruptions during video conferencing and longer wait times for updating software, and reduces the stress which customers experience when using SaaS at Tele-work.<\/p>\r\n
