BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will begin accepting customer\u2019s application for a dedicated, high-capacity direct connection from its enterprise Internet access service, \u201cOCX Hikari Internet,\u201d to the Microsoft Cloud provided by Microsoft Corporation (\u201cMicrosoft\u201d) through Microsoft Azure Peering Service starting March 24, 2023. <\/p>\r\n
\r\n

Microsoft Azure Peering Service is a networking service that enhances connectivity to Microsoft Cloud services such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, or any Microsoft services accessible via the public internet. Furthermore, BBIX is one of Microsoft\u2019s official partner providers of connectivity to Microsoft Azure Peering Service.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

As the use of services via the cloud grows year by year, improving the communication quality of services provided via the cloud is a common challenge facing enterprise customers. Typical Internet connection services are connected to Microsoft Cloud via the networks of multiple ISPs (Internet Service Providers), and they are dependent on the quality of each ISP’s network. This network structure sometimes causes longer wait times for updating Microsoft 365, audio interruptions, and picture quality degradation when customers use Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

\u201cOCX Hikari Internet,\u201d which has Japan-leading large-bandwidth backbones in Japan, is now supporting Microsoft\u201d Azure Peering Service and providing a direct connection to Microsoft Cloud to customers to support smooth use of Microsoft Cloud services such as Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365.<\/p>\r\n
\r\n

BBIX and BBSakura will build a network cloud infrastructure to support regional DX (Digital Transformation) by developing a closed network and cloud access points over networked BBIX IX infrastructure to support the communication environment in the multi-cloud era.<\/p>\r\n
