BBIX, Inc. (\u201cBBIX\u201d) and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (\u201cBBSakura\u201d), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, now supports Single Tag (IEEE802.1q) for cloud connection to Microsoft Azure in the \u201cOpen Connectivity eXchange\u201d (\u201cOCX\u201d), a cloud-based network service, on January 12, 2023.<\/p>\r\n

Single Tag (IEEE802.1q) is available on the virtual interface (\u201cCloud Connection\u201d) which enables customers to connect to the cloud services through OCX service. Up to now, customers were required to prepare the on-premises network equipment (CPE), which supports Double Tag (Q-in-Q), to connect to Microsoft Azure. From now on, however, CPE which only supports Single Tag (IEEE802.1q) becomes available for the connection. This update will simplify the customer\u2019s network as packets will be delivered through Single Tag (IEEE802.1q), and allow customers to have a wider range of choice in CPEs.<\/p>\r\n
